YOUR WORTH IS A DESIGNER ORIGINAL

A reflection based on Chapter 1 of the book "The Algorithm of the Soul."

“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27 (NLT)

Before the world could offer an opinion, God had already declared your worth.

The culture whispers that our value is volatile, dependent on our last success or our next failure. We internalize this lie and end up living on an emotional roller coaster, where our self-esteem rises and falls with the tides of circumstance.

But the first and most fundamental algorithm of the soul, the source code of our existence, declares a truth that is infinitely more powerful and stable.

Consider the difference between a mass-produced object and a masterpiece sculpted by an artist's hands. The masterpiece's value isn't in what it does, but in whose it is. You and I are not products of a cosmic assembly line; we are the masterpiece of the Supreme Artist. The "image and likeness of God" is not poetry; it is His signature engraved in our spiritual DNA, a worth sealed by the Creator Himself.

Living from this truth changes everything.

It means that when the voice of insignificance shouts, you no longer have to listen. When failure knocks at the door, your identity is not at stake. You can rest in the certainty that your fundamental worth is anchored in eternity, in the creative act of a God who makes no mistakes and who, in His infinite love, decided the world needed someone exactly like you.

You are not a coincidence. You are a design.

Your Next Step of Faith

Today, take a moment to identify a lie about your worth that you have been believing (e.g., "I'm only valuable if I'm productive," "I'm defined by my mistakes"). Then, declare the truth of Genesis 1:27 over yourself aloud: “I am not a mistake. I am an intentional design of God, created in His image.”

• How would your way of handling criticism and failure change if you lived with the full conviction that you bear the Creator's signature?

Prayer

Father, thank you for creating me intentionally and wonderfully. Forgive me for the times I have doubted my worth and sought in the wrong places the affirmation that only You can give. Help me to live today in the light of the truth that I am Your masterpiece, created in Your image. May this truth anchor my soul and silence every lie. In Jesus' name, Amen.
